The Australian Federation of University Women – SA Inc. Trust has awarded scholarships and prizes to a total value of $20,200 in 2019.

Graduate Women SA Centenary Scholarships

Awards for women (Australian citizens or permanent residents) undertaking postgraduate doctoral degrees (PhD by research or professional doctorates) at South Australian universities.

  • Ms Khatora Opperman – $5,000
  • Ms Alexandra Baxter – $3,000
  • Ms Fae Heaselgrave – $2,000

 

Diamond Jubilee Scholarships

Awards for women (Australian citizens or permanent residents) undertaking postgraduate Masters degrees by research or including a thesis component at South Australian universities.

  • Ms Chloe Castle – $3,000
  • Ms Brigitte Everett – $3,000

 

Winifred E. Preedy Undergraduate Scholarship

Award for a female undergraduate student (Australian citizen or permanent resident) of outstanding academic merit in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Adelaide.

  • Ms Lucy Ryan – $1,000

 

Winifred E. Preedy Postgraduate Scholarship

Award for women (Australian citizens or permanent residents) undertaking higher degrees in Dentistry or some allied field, by coursework or research.

  • Dr Catherine Sims – $2,500

 

Nancy Webb Prize

Award for a woman of outstanding academic merit in the Faculty of Mathematical and Computer Sciences at the University of Adelaide, in the final year of her Bachelor degree.

  • Ms Miriam Slattery – $400

 

St Ann’s Prize

Award for a woman residing at St Ann’s College, as determined by the College.

  • Ms Meg Jarvis – $300
